Amalia + Abby's Montreal wedding
I am finally getting around to posting this blog all about Amalia + Abby's wedding (August 7 2021)! We started off the day with Abby getting ready, surrounded by his family and best friends. Next, we walked down to the waterfront and got some fun photos with him and his groomsmen! After that, I went to Amalia and captured her getting ready alongside her best friends! They had just moved into their home and the lighting and backdrop was just perfect for photos! Amalia's dress was absolutely breathtaking- it was definitely one of my favourite wedding gowns that I've captured to date! I captured her beautiful details and then went on to take some candids of Amalia's family seeing her in her stunning wedding dress!
The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and we were lucky to have perfect weather (you never know with Montreal's crazy weather on wedding days!). The ceremony was in the bride and groom's backyard and was the perfect mixture of intimate and rustic, with a lot of elegant touches. Amalia created all the decor on her own and everything came together so beautifully. After spending so much time away from others due to covid, the wedding was so special with all their friends and family gathered to celebrate their love.
Before the wedding, Amalia and Abby drove around there new neighbourhood, searching for the perfect spot for their wedding couple photos. And let me tell you, they found the best spot ever! Right after the ceremony, we snuck away from the guests and drove to a farm owned by an elderly man. He was there to greet us when we arrived and you can tell how happy and proud he was to host us for photos! It was just lovely. The photos turned out better than I could've imagine and I especially love the one where the bride and groom are standing under an apple tree. Feels like it really encapsulates Montreal in August!
Next, we had the reception which was in a white tent in the couple's backyard. The emotional speeches, the dancing and the cake cutting were all an amazing end to such a perfect day!
