alisia and pascal's INTIMATE wedding pt. 1

A few months ago my aunt published a post on Facebook writing about how proud she was of me, letting her friends know that they can reach out to me if they ever needed a photographer. Just a few weeks later, Alisia reached out to me and from her first message, I knew I wanted to capture her and Pascal’s elopement. They had originally planned to elope in Iceland and they had everything booked and were super excited. But then covid hit and all that changed. They told me that they did not want to keep pushing off their elopement and wanted to tie the knot no matter the location. As long as they had each other, everything else would fall into place. And trust me, everything fell into place so quickly and SO perfectly! 🥂

We spent a lot of time getting to know each other and brainstorming different ideas of how we can make their elopement as special and authentic to their relationship as possible. Alisia is an incredible planner and was able to think of every. last. detail. I kid you not! She planned the day so effortlessly and I think you’ll be able to see that from the photos in this blog!

To sum it up, the elopement was split into two weekends. Part 1 of the elopement included officially tying the knot, surround by family (and friends on Zoom). For part 2, they decided to take it to the next level and rent an airbnb in Mont Tremblant and hired a private helicopter. The helicopter took us to a private mountain top which was INCREDIBLE!!

The first weekend included officially tying the knot along with their closest family members in Old Montreal. The getting ready photos took place at Hotel Monville, a beautiful hotel in the Old Port of Montreal. It was such a great idea because instead of getting ready at their home, they were able to make that part of the day extra special. Next, we went to the notaries office and tied the knot. Although at the time photographers were not allowed to be a part of the ceremony (thanks a lot, covid), I still managed to record the audio so that A & P have their vows recorded! Next, along with their family, we went to the Old Bank of Montreal and took some beautiful family portraits. We ended off the day by walking around Old Montreal and creating special memories that would last a lifetime.

Also, happy ten year anniversary to you both!! And congratulations to Aly for graduating from nursing school this week! Such amazing things to celebrate!! 🎉

Stay tuned for part 2 of their elopement which will be published as a blog next weekend!

I hope you enjoyed reading this blog and, to those of you who have made it to the end, just know that I truly appreciate you! I love being able to share these special moments with yall of you and I am excited to share more of my journey in future blog posts. For now, enjoy the photos from this amazing day!
