reasons why you should elope now instead of postponing your wedding

If this past year has taught me anything, it is that time is precious and that our relationships are irreplaceable and should never be taken for granted, because in an instant, everything can change and our world can be turned upside down. I organized this styled elopement to try and show you how weddings can still take place even without a large guest list, a fancy wedding hall, and everything else that comes with it. Because, although all of those things are fantastic, as long as you get to marry your best friend, you can have an absolutely amazing and unforgettable day!

Not sure about this whole “eloping” idea? Have you always dreamt of having a huge wedding with all of your friends and family by your side? Eloping now doesn’t mean that you can’t have that big celebration in the future, when it is safe to do so! Eloping can actually give you the opportunity to tie the knot now without postponing your life plans, and then celebrating with your loved ones at some point int the future!

The location for this elopement was at the couple's family friend's chalet in Lantier, Quebec. A chalet in the mountains is often the perfect place to elope, away from the business of the city. We decided to make the day all about the couple and do the things that they loved doing together. We had the perfect elopement ceremony in the snow and ended the day in front of a cozy fireplace with a burger and a beer. When it comes down to it, your elopement is all about you and your love. it is important to make sure you enjoy every moment of it so you can cherish your special day forever!

We had three beautiful dresses from Chateau Nadia, which gave the photos that extra magic. The hair and makeup artist, Oksana, went above and beyond to bring my vision to life. She curled Alicia's hair and left it down, which was really beautiful. For the makeup, we went for a very natural look but made the eyes pop with purple eyeshadow. This was the perfect finishing touch to pull the look together effortlessly. The bouquet was made by Ayala at Miya Fleuriste. They created a beautiful winter bouquet filled with garden and spray roses, orchids, eucalyptus, pine and magnolia leaves. This day wouldn't have been as magical without the help of these vendors, who I am very fortunate to have worked with!

I hope you enjoyed reading this blog and, to those of you who have made it to the end, just know that I truly appreciate you! I love being able to share these special moments with yall of you and I am excited to share more of my journey in future blog posts. For now, enjoy the photos from this amazing day!
