As a Montreal wedding photographer, capturing celebrations at Hudson Yacht Club is a breath of fresh air. Tucked along the shores of the Lake of Two Mountains in Hudson, Quebec, this venue combines a rich maritime history with an easygoing, waterfront charm. It’s the kind of setting where guests can kick back on the lawn, watch the sailboats come in, and focus on enjoying the day rather than sticking to a stiff schedule.


My approach to photographing a wedding day here is simple: less performance, more life. Whether we are taking dreamy couple photos on the docks during golden hour or capturing candid moments on the lawn overlooking the lake, my goal is to create a set of images that feel completely true to how the day actually felt.


Hybrid Wedding Photography on the Hudson Waterfront

To tell a complete story of a wedding day at Hudson Yacht Club, I rely on a hybrid approach using both high-resolution digital and 35mm film.


Digital provides speed, precise low-light handling, and complete reliability- making sure every moment of your ceremony and reception is captured effortlessly. Meanwhile, 35mm film brings a soulful, organic aesthetic to the gallery. The soft highlights, natural grain, and authentic colours of film catch the subtle, candid details along the water that digital can sometimes render too polished.
